ISET is pleased to announce the creation of two new need-based scholarships thanks to a generous donation by the Community Project Committee (CPC) from the International Women’s Association-Georgia (IWA Georgia). IWA Georgia is a local NGO that supports children, disabled persons, women, and the elderly, particularly those who are at risk due to poverty, poor health, or other factors.
Two IWA Georgia scholarships of approximately 2,250 GEL were awarded to two first-year students: Megi Tsikoridze and Aleksandre Lezhava. “This scholarship is my chance to become a Master of Economics and pursue my studies at my dream university”, said Megi, “I am so grateful words cannot convey. The scholarship is a huge responsibility as well. I am responsible to the International Women’s Association of Georgia to achieve my goal and successfully graduate from ISET”.
International School of Economics at TSU is a premier graduate education and research institution in the South Caucasus, producing dozens of top-notch young economists every year. The two IWA Georgia scholarships are a great investment not only in the human capital of Megi and Aleksandre but also in the future of Georgia and the South Caucasus.
ISET would like to thank IWA Georgia for the incredible work it does in Georgia, and its willingness and enthusiasm to assist ISET students in the pursuit of their studies and professional ambitions.
