We continue to track the success of our graduates and would like to congratulate Ivane Pirveli from ISET class 2011 on his latest achievement. Currently serving as Deputy Head of the Gas Department at the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), Ivane had been recently offered a prestigious position of a Seconded National Expert on Georgian energy law with the Austria-based Energy Community Secretariat. This organization deals with international energy policy, bringing together organizations representing the European Union, on the one hand, and those from South-East Europe (including the Black Sea region), on the other.

Established in October 2005, it aims to extend the EU internal energy market to South-East Europe and beyond. Thanks to this appointment, in May-December 2016, Ivane will work in Vienna alongside key international energy experts and external stakeholders. His task will be to prepare a comprehensive report on Georgia’s energy law compliance with the Energy Community acquis.
