Alumni-turned-author Revisits ISET
ხუთშაბათი, 17 ნოემბერი, 2016

The employment rate for ISET graduates stands at 100%, and while the institute is proud of all of its alumni, some are able to go above and beyond conventional success and achieve the extraordinary.

Alexander Vacharadze of the Class of 2013 would certainly be considered by most to have followed a more unconventional – but no less successful – career path than most of his fellow graduates. After graduating from ISET, Alexander served briefly in the military and then worked for the government before leaving his job and starting his own business.

Yet it was his personal experiences over the years, which he described as having been an “emotional and spiritual journey”, which led him to shift his career once again and embark on a writing career. His military experience has given him some insight into the horrors of combat, his book, Irinola, is a tragic tale of the August 2008 war between Russia and Georgia, and relates the story of a Georgian family alongside the conflict. The book is currently available at all good book stores and was presented at ISET with the assistance of the ISET Alumni Association.

ISET is grateful that Alexander returned to the institute to share his book and the stories of his life since his graduation. His independent spirit and work ethic have made the institute extremely proud.
