Economic and trade policy review of Georgia: market entry for Indonesia to Georgia

The ISET Policy Institute research team conducted a comprehensive study on the trade potential between Georgia and Indonesia. The study comprehensively analyzes Georgia's economic landscape, exploring growth trends, major industries, and fiscal policies. It evaluates dynamic factors influencing economic resilience and adaptability, assesses the business environment, identifies sectors for Indonesian companies, reviews existing cooperation, explores growth opportunities, and conducts a risk assessment.

The OECD, in partnership with the ITF, is set to conduct an analytical study focusing on Türkiye, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan—the key countries of the Middle Corridor. The study aims to pinpoint bottlenecks and reform requirements related to infrastructure, trade facilitation, and political support.

The "Local Economic Development (LED) in Georgia" project, implemented by a consortium led by HELVETAS and commissioned by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), aims to strengthen Georgian actors’ involvement in LED. Moreover, it incorporates an overarching objective “to contribute to increasing employment and income of rural women and men in their localities by enhancing effective collaboration among local and national actors (public, private, civil society) for the creation of new economic opportunities.”

Study of risks associated with Russian capital in Georgia

Conduct in-depth analysis of inheritance practices with regards to son preference in Georgia

UNFPA will work with ISET-PI to conduct an in-depth analysis of inheritance practices in Georgia with regard to son preference. The team will elaborate on the methodology for analysis and will conduct preliminary desk research on the issue. The program will provide a better understanding of the depth of gender bias in inheritance legislation and practices, and its practical implications on women’s lives, their status, and social-economic outcomes.
