On 28 February 2023, ISET hosted Ivailo Izvorski, World Bank’s Chief Economist for Europe and Central Asia, who delivered a seminar on 'Education and innovation for growth'. The seminar was well-attended by members of the academic community, researchers, and students. Izvorski discussed the important role that education and innovation play in promoting economic growth and development, as well as the opportunities and challenges of modern education systems.
The World Bank is the largest financier of education in the developing world, working on education programs in more than 80 countries to provide quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. The WB works in partnership with governments and organizations worldwide to support innovative projects, timely research, and knowledge-sharing activities.
The seminar concluded with a lively Q&A session, with attendees engaging in a fruitful discussion on the topic.
