მეცხოველეობის სექტორი საქართველოს სოფლის მეურნეობაში მნიშვნელოვან როლს ასრულებს, ქმნის რა სექტორის მთლიანი გამოშვების ნახევარზე მეტს. მართალია ფერმერული მეურნეობები მთელი ქვეყნის მასშტაბითაა გავრცელებული, მაგრამ საქართველოს ტერიტორიის ნახევარზე მეტი მთიანია, სადაც სოფლის მეურნეობა უპირატესად მეცხოველეობითაა წარმოდგენილი.

On November 20, the study “Mapping of Emerging and Potential Clusters in Georgia” carried out by the ISET Policy Institute in cooperation with local and international partners was presented at the stakeholder forum ‘Promoting a strong and competitive business in Georgia’ organized by the EU and the four UN agencies – UNDP, FAO, UNIDO, and IOM, under their joint effort for the strong and competitive private sector in Georgia.

საქსტატის მიერ რამდენიმე დღის წინ გამოქვეყნებული წინასწარი მონაცემებით, 2019 წლის III კვარტლის რეალური მშპ-ის ზრდის ტემპი 5.7% შეადგენს, რაც ISET-ის კვლევითი ინსტიტუტის ოქტომბრის თვის პროგნოზთან შედარებით 1.4%-ით დაბალია. რეალური მშპ-ის ზრდამ 2019 წლის პირველი ცხრა თვის განმავლობაში 5.0% შეადგინა.

On November 13, the Agricultural Policy Research Center at ISET-PI presented the main results of the Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) of the draft law of Georgia on soil protection at a stakeholder workshop held at the conference hall of the Environmental Education and Information Center (EEIC) of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia (MEPA).

On November 8, ISET was visited by Mr. Juha Kahkonen, Deputy Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department of the IMF, who gave a presentation on the fact that global trade tensions and slowing growth amongst key trading partners are affecting the Caucasus and Central Asia (CCA) region.
