როგორც არ უნდა ცდილობდეს კიმ იონგ-ანის პროპაგანდა, დიდებულად წარმოაჩინოს ქვეყანა, ჩრდილოეთ კორეაში ემიგრაციისთვის თავს არავინ იწუხებს, იქიდან გამოღწევა კი თითქმის ყველას უნდა. მსგავსად, რასაც არ უნდა ამბობდნენ კონსერვატორი მუსლიმები გარყვნილ დასავლეთზე, ძალზე დიდია სუფთა მიგრაცია ისლამური ქვეყნებიდან ამ გახრწნილ და დეკადენტურ დასავლურ საზოგადოებებში.

2015 წელს მიგრაციის საკითხთა სამთავრობო კომისიამ (მსსკ) მიიღო საშუალო ფორმატის მიგრაციის პროფილი (MMP). პროფილი მომზადდა მსსკ-ის წევრი სახელმწიფო უწყებების აქტიური მონაწილეობით და ევროკავშირის მიერ დაფინანსებული და მიგრაციის პოლიტიკის განვითარების საერთაშორისო ცენტრის (ICMPD) მიერ მართული პროექტის - „მიგრაციის მართვის გაძლიერება საქართველოში“ (ENIGMMA) მხარდაჭერით.

ISET Policy Institute presented research results on internal migration in Georgia at an international conference “Recent Migratory Processes and Europe: Challenges and Opportunities” that took place on September 29-30th in Tbilisi Biltmore Hotel. The presentation had already been given in the week before at a conference of the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics in Kyiv, Ukraine, and two weeks earlier at a workshop on regional economics held at the Ural Federal University in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

“Money Can’t Buy EU Love – European Funds and the Brexit Referendum” is the title of a paper by Dr. Jan Fidrmuc of Brunel University, and immediately evokes images of several months ago when Remain voters lined the streets of London with ‘We Love EU’ placards and gold and blue flags, as well as recent savage arguments in Brussels over the best course of action as the continent struggles to get over the shock of a member state opting to leave the union.

ISET PI researcher Maka Chitanava participated in the “International Summer School on Migration Research”, organized within the framework of two EU-funded projects, “Enhancing Georgia’s Migration Management” (an ENIGMMA project implemented in Georgia by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development), and the “Support for Implementation of the Mobility Partnership with Azerbaijan” project (a MOBILAZE endeavor implemented in Azerbaijan by the ICMPD).
