As advised by the European partners, in order to restore Georgia's trajectory towards EU membership, it is essential for the country to repeal the recently enacted laws concerning "Transparency of Foreign Influence" and "Protection of Family Values and Minors," as well as to adequately implement the nine requirements set forth by the European Commission for granting of EU candidate status to Georgia.
From October 3 to 5, ISET Policy Institute and Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) hosted a three-day International Conference. The conference was jointly organized by ISET and IAMO and titled “Improving the Functioning of Agri-Food Value Chains in the South Caucasus Region”.
The ISET Policy Institute participated in the 2024 FREE Network Retreat, held in Chisinau, Moldova, from September 11-13. The retreat brought together both researchers and administrative staff from member institutions of the Forum for Research on Eastern Europe and Emerging Economies (FREE Network) for strategic discussions on economic research, capacity building, and communication practices.

Organized by the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Institute (CI), this annual event serves as a flagship knowledge exchange platform under the CAREC Think Tank Network (CTTN).
Tbilisi recently hosted an International Conference commemorating the 105th Anniversary of the National Statistical Office of Georgia (Geostat) and the 25th Anniversary of Collecting Gender Statistics. The two-day event, themed "Accelerating Progress Towards Inclusive Development Through Gender Statistics," was organized by Geostat and UN Women.
