Between 5-9 July, ISET-PI together with UN Women conducted a four-day training module on “Gender and Economics” for representatives of numerous Georgian CSOs in Borjomi.
The average cost of cooking one standard portion of Imeretian Khachapuri stood at 5.39 GEL in June 2022. This is 2.7% lower MoM (compared to May 2022) and 28.1% higher YoY (compared to June 2021).
In May 2022, Georgian power plants generated 1,461 mln. kWh of electricity. This represents a 20% increase in the total generation compared to the previous year (in May 2021, the total generation was 1,221 mln. kWh). The increase in the generation on a yearly basis comes from a rise of 20% in hydropower generation, respectively, more than offsetting a 9% decline in wind power generation.

Within the framework of the Good Governance for Gender Equality in Georgia (GG4GEG) project, UN Women is collaborating with the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) and the ISET Policy Institute to conduct a comprehensive Gender Impact Assessment (GIA) of the Law on Civil Service in Georgia.
