At the initiative of the Government of Georgia, a new model of corporate taxation was introduced in 2017. The so-called Estonian Model of Corporate Income Tax (CIT) reform envisaged a transition to a model wherein enterprises would only be taxed on profit distribution.

საქართველოს კონსტიტუციაში ვკითხულობთ: „სახელმწიფო ზრუნავს ადამიანის ჯანმრთელობისა და სოციალურ დაცვაზე, საარსებო მინიმუმითა და ღირსეული საცხოვრებლით უზრუნველყოფაზე, ოჯახის კეთილდღეობის დაცვაზე“ (საქართველოს კონსტიტუცია, მე-5 მუხლი, 2017 წ.). თუმცა ამ ეტაპზე საქართველოს კანონმდებლობაში არ არის ნათლად განსაზღვრული, რომელი საჯარო ინსტიტუტების პასუხისმგებლობაა ქვეყანაში არასტაბილური განსახლების პრობლემის აღმოფხვრა. პრობლემის მოგვარების მიზნით, საქართველოს მთავრობამ (GoG) შექმნა სამუშაო ჯგუფი, რომელიც საცხოვრებლით უზრუნველყოფის სოციალური საკითხებით დაინტერესებულ მხარეებს აერთიანებს.

ინდექსის აღმავალი ტრენდი ჯერ კიდევ 2019 წლის მაისში დაიწყო, ოქტომბერში კი მკვეთრი ზრდა დაფიქსირდა. ამ თვეში ერთი სტანდარტული იმერული ხაჭაპურის მომზადების საშუალო ღირებულებამ 3,90 ლარს მიაღწია, რაც 6,6%-ით მეტია წინა თვესთან (2019 წლის სექტემბერთან) და 8.6%-ით მეტია წინა წლის (2018 წლის ოქტომბრის) მაჩვენებელთან შედარებით.

The biennial Tbilisi Silk Road Forum was held from October 22-23, an event of the utmost importance for Georgia’s economic development. With over 2,000 people in attendance, the Forum gathered together policymakers, businesses, community leaders, and academics to discuss trade and connectivity, as well as examine the challenges facing countries along the New Silk Road.

On October 17, the APRC’s Rati Kochlamazashvili presented the results of a study of Value Added Tax (VAT) Exemption Impact for Increasing the Competitiveness of the Georgian Dairy Sector to dairy sector stakeholders, including farmers, dairy processors, and associations, as well as representatives of government bodies and parliament.
