On Tuesday, April 7th, ISET hosted Professor Giorgio Brunello from the University of Padova. Prof. Brunello presented his recent paper titled "Pappa Ante Portas: The Retired Husband Syndrome in Japan”, which he collaborated with his colleague Professor Marco Bertoni.

On Friday, April 3rd, Professor Sergey Popov from the Queen's University Belfast visited ISET to present his paper titled "On Publication, Refereeing, and Working Hard” co-authored with Sascha Baghestanian, junior professor at the department for management and applied microeconomics at Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany.

ქართულ-ესტონური ფილმი „მანდარინები“ ნომინირებული იყო ოსკარის დაჯილდოვების ცერემონიალზე, როგორც 2014 წლის საუკეთესო უცხოენოვანი ფილმი. მიუხედავად იმისა, რომ ფილმი გადაღებულია გურიაში, მოქმედება ვითარდება 1990-იანი წლების ომის პერიოდის აფხაზეთში, რომელიც ამჟამად საქართველოს მთავრობის კონტროლ ქვეშ არ იმყოფება.

On Thursday, April 2nd, Giorgi Bakradze, the Advisor in Economics Issues to the President of the National Bank of Georgia, gave a public lecture organized by ISET. The main topic of his presentation was the Formation of Exchange Rate which addressed currently occurring exchange rate changes. More than 400 students and other interested individuals attended the meeting.

On Wednesday, April 1st, ISET hosted Dr. Asger Moll Wingender from the University of Copenhagen. Dr. Wingender presented his paper “Irrigation and Autocracy” co-authored with Jeanet Sinding Bentzen and Nicolai Kaarsen.
