In what has been a decidedly international few months for ISET with recent visits to Japan, Norway, and India (as well as a trip to Uzbekistan in late October), yet another member of the institute's faculty has traveled abroad, this time to Germany.

Facilitating cooperation among Georgia’s smallholders is one of the main focuses of the ENPARD project, of which ISET is a (small) part. ENPARD has been active in Georgia since 2013, and its work has been extensive and its efforts invaluable. An evaluation effort coordinated by the ISET Policy Institute has uncovered some interesting facts and figures from the comparative analysis between 2014 and 2015.

ეს პროექტი, რომელიც გერმანიის ეკონომიკური თანამშრომლობისა და განვითარების ფედერალური სამინისტოსა და მიუნხენისა და ზემო ბავარიის სავაჭრო-სამრეწველო პალატის მხარდაჭერითა და საქართველოს სავაჭრო-სამრეწველო პალატასთან მჭიდრო თანამშრომლობით განხორციელდა, მიზნად ისახავს ქართულ პროფესიული განათლების დაწესებულებებში სამეწარმეო განათლების გაძლიერებას.

“Money Can’t Buy EU Love – European Funds and the Brexit Referendum” is the title of a paper by Dr. Jan Fidrmuc of Brunel University, and immediately evokes images of several months ago when Remain voters lined the streets of London with ‘We Love EU’ placards and gold and blue flags, as well as recent savage arguments in Brussels over the best course of action as the continent struggles to get over the shock of a member state opting to leave the union.
