ბიზნესის განწყობის ინდექსი (BCI) 2018 წლის მეორე კვარტალში გაიზარდა და 39.6 პუნქტი შეადგინა, რაც 8.3 პუნქტით აღემატება წინა კვარტლის მაჩვენებელს. გაუმჯობესებული ბიზნესის განწყობა ეხმიანება ზოგადად ქვეყანაში ეკონომიკური პროცესების გააქტიურებას (საქართველოს სტატისტიკის ეროვნული სამსახურის წინასწარი მონაცემებით, 2018 წლის I კვარტალში ეკონომიკურმა ზრდამ 5.2% შეადგინა).

2012 წლის შემდეგ, რაც ქვეყნის მმართველობა ქართულმა ოცნებამ გადაიბარა, რეალურმა ეკონომიკურმა ზრდამ ყველაზე მაღალ მაჩვენებელს 2017 წელს მიაღწია და 5.0% შეადგინა. ამ ზრდის დიდი ნაწილი მშენებლობაზე (11.2%), სასტუმროებსა და რესტორნებზე (11.2%) და საფინანსო სექტორზე (9.2%) მოდიოდა. თუმცა, ამ სექტორებისგან განსხვავებით, 2017 წელს ეკონომიკის რამდენიმე დარგი შემცირდა. მათ შორის ერთ-ერთი სოფლის მეურნეობა (-2.7%) იყო.

The ISET Policy Institute presented to stakeholders the Regulatory Impact Assessment of the Draft Law of Georgia on Entrepreneurs at ISET on May 2. The project was prepared by the ISET Policy Institute with the support of GIZ and PROLoG/USAID.

The Khachapuri Index is one of the most popular Indexes in Georgia. ISET uses the Khachapuri Index as a simple tool that tracks inflation. The creation of the Khachapuri Index was inspired by the Big Mac Index, made and used by the Economist. ISET’s Khachapuri index uses a basket for calculating inflation that includes only those ingredients that are needed to cook one Imeretian khachapuri – flour, cheese, yeast, milk, eggs, and butter.
