One of ISET’s core values is to provide its students with an international academic environment. One of the key aspects of this mission is the academic seminars the institute periodically hosts; many outstanding scholars have visited ISET to present their research results and discuss issues in the focus of academic circles all over the world.

25 დეკემბერს მსოფლიოს მოსახლეობის დაახლოებით მესამედი (დაახლოებით 2 მილიარდი ადამიანი) შობას აღნიშნავს. ტრადიციულად, ეს სეზონი საჩუქრების ყიდვასთან ასოცირდება. საშობაო საჩუქრების შეძენაში უზარმაზარი თანხები იხარჯება! მაგალითად, 2018 წელს აშშ-ში საშობაო საჩუქრების მოსალოდნელი დანახარჯი ერთ ადამიანზე 885 აშშ დოლარს უტოლდება, რაც საშუალო შემოსავლის მქონე ადამიანის წლიური შემოსავლის დაახლოებით 2.8%-ია.

A decade after its founding, ISET celebrates its entry among the top 10% economic institutions worldwide doing research on CIS countries. In November 2018 IDEAS ranked ISET the 142nd place out of the 1448 economic institutions in its database doing research on CIS countries. IDEAS is an international database that monitors publications in all fields of economics and ranks economic institutions around the world according to the visibility of their research i.e. how many times their online articles are viewed and downloaded.

The answer is, in fact, cryptocurrency: 15% of all Bitcoins in the world are mined in Georgia, perhaps a disproportionate figure given the country’s small size.

და, აი, ისევ დადგა წლის ის დრო, როდესაც ჩვენი სამყარო „მსოფლიო ბანკის“ Doing Business-ის გამოცემის გარშემო ტრიალს იწყებს. კიდევ ერთხელ გვეძლევა შანსი, ვიტრაბახოთ, რა ადვილია საქართველოში ბიზნესის წამოწყება, რა დაბალია ბიზნესის გადასახადები და რამხელა წარმატებებს მივაღწიეთ კონტრაქტების აღსრულების მიმართულებით. თუმცა ნაკლებ სავარაუდოა, რომ ყურადღება გადახდისუუნარობის ინდექსსაც დავუთმოთ. ამ მაჩვენებლით საქართველო ისეთი ქვეყნების გვერდით აღმოჩნდა, რომლებიც ბიზნესის ხელშემწყობი სახარბიელო გარემოთი მაინცდამაინც არ გამოირჩევიან.
