21-23 მაისს, ISET-ის კვლევითი ინსტიტუტის (ISET-PI) მკვლევარმა, დავით კეშელავამ მონაწილეობა მიიღო ევროპის ყოველწლიურ საგაზეთო კონგრესში, რომელიც ვენაში გაიმართა. კონგრესის თემა იყო „ოპტიმისტური ჟურნალისტიკა და ფეისბუქის კრიტიკა“. კონგრესის მთავარი აქცენტი იყო ის უმთავრესი შესაძლებლობები და გამოწვევები, რომელთა წინაშეცაა ყოველდღიური საგაზეთო მედია. თუმცა კონგრესის თემები სცდებოდა ზემოთ ხსენებულ დასახელებას.

Khachik Gevorgyan, the founder and CEO of ARMACAD, visited ISET to meet the institution's faculty and students and introduce ARMACAD, a special platform for universities and academic centers to present scholarships, conferences, grants, and study opportunities to the audience. The main focus of the presentation was to demonstrate www.armacad.info, to show the easiest way to search, browse and find relevant information in any academic discipline.

Shota Bakhuashvili of the Class of 2017 decided to apply for an MA research scholarship at the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation after listening to an encouraging speech by Professor Norberto Pignatti during a lecture. Shota was ultimately successful, winning 6000 lari that he will use for books, papers, and travel to attend conferences.

On December 12-14, two ISET-PI researchers, Maka Chitanava and Giorgi Mzhavanadze attended the Good Jobs for Inclusive Growth in Central Asia and South Caucasus study finalization conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This study was commissioned by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and implemented by eight Central Asian and South Caucasus countries.

2016 წლის 29 ნოემბერს, ევროკავშირის მიერ დაფინანსებული ენპარდის (ENPARD) პროგრამის ფარგლებში, „ჰოტელს ენდ პრეფერენს ჰუალინგ თბილისში“ გაიმართა უწყებათაშორისი ფორუმი – კოოპერატივების ხელმისაწვდომობა ფინანსებზე. ფორუმი მიზნად ისახავდა კოოპერატივებისათვის ფინანსებზე წვდომასთან დაკავშირებული გამოწვევებისა და შესაძლებლობების განხილვას.
