
In July 2018, Georgian power plants generated 1,268 mln. KWh of electricity. This represents a 2% increase in total generation, compared to the previous year (in 2017, total generation in July was 1,247 mln. kWh). The increase in generation on a yearly basis mainly comes from an increase in hydropower and wind power generation.

The GEO real property market grew by 10.1% in Q2 2018, in comparison with Q1 2018. The annual increase was more pronounced at 22.7% (YoY), in comparison with Q2 2017. TBS, with a 44.0% share in total sales in Q2 2018, dominated the GEO real property market.

This represents a 6% increase in total generation, compared to the previous year (in 2017, total generation in June was 1,138 mln. kWh). The increase in generation on a yearly basis mainly comes from an increase in hydropower generation.

On June 29, at the Tbilisi office of USAID G4G, a round table discussion about Agricultural Land Registration Reform was held. The meeting was organized by the ISET Policy Institute under the “ReforMeter” project. During the meeting, the land registration process and achievements and challenges of the land market in the country were all discussed.
