On 18 March, representatives from the ISET Policy Institute visited Kutaisi International University to introduce ISET Policy Institute’s core activities, products, and ongoing projects to students and university staff.
On 13 April, ISET Policy Institute hosted an event: “War in Ukraine: Challenges, Risks, and Responses of the Georgian Economy”. The meeting brought together the policy community – including think tanks, experts, public and private sector leaders, and various development partners.
On 29 March, ISET Policy Institute’s researchers conducted training under the auspices of a USAID project – Develop Advocacy Capacity of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Private Sector Associations (PSAs) – as supported by the USAID Economic Security Program and the USAID Economic Governance Program.
28 March 2022 marks the successful completion of ISET’s green economy training for journalists and students. We are extremely grateful to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for financially supporting the initiative.
On March 3, 2022, ISET Policy Institute Lead Economist Yaroslava Babych and Director Tamar Sulukhia spoke at the international Webinar “The Sanctions on Russia, and their impact on the region”. The Webinar was organized by the Stockholm Institute of Transitional Economies and the Free Network (which is sponsored by Sida) and discussed the impacts of Russia’s war in Ukraine on the region, with a focus on the economic effects of sanctions in Russia and the region.
