Brussels, 12–13 March 2025 – The fifth formal meeting of the European Social Policy Analysis Network (ESPAN) brought together national independent experts and senior officials from the European Commission to engage in a comprehensive review of ongoing EU social policy priorities. In his capacity as National Coordinator of ESPAN and Lead Economist at the ISET Policy Institute, Dr. Davit Keshelava represented Georgia at the meeting.

Polarization intensified further with the approval of the so-called Russian Law and the ongoing demonstrations. The index's peak coincides with large demonstrations in Europe Square and the overriding of the president's veto on the Russian law.

The third quarter of 2022 was marked by a “perfect storm” of global challenges. Due to the ongoing geopolitical, economic, and ecological turbulence, with inflation reaching its highest point in decades, the world economy remains volatile.

On 18 March, representatives from the ISET Policy Institute visited Kutaisi International University to introduce ISET Policy Institute’s core activities, products, and ongoing projects to students and university staff.
