Since January 2018, electricity tariffs have increased in Georgia. The new tariffs were determined by the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) on December 27 2017 based on a review of applications submitted by the country’s distribution companies (JSI Telasi and Energo-Pro Georgia). In Tbilisi, the tariff has increased by 1.56 tetri per kWh and in regions by 1.28 Tetri per kWh.

2017 წელი, როგორც ჩანს, ერთ-ერთი საუკეთესო წელი იქნება საქართველოსთვის 2008 წლის კრიზისის შემდეგ. ეკონომიკის მოსალოდნელი ზრდა დაახლოებით 5%-ია, რაც საერთაშორისო სავალუტო ფონდისა და მსოფლიო ბანკის მოლოდინებსა და ადრეულ პროგნოზებს აჭარბებს. საქსტატის მიერ I და II კვარტლების განახლებულ მონაცემებზე დაყრდნობით, ISET-ის კვლევითი ინსტიტუტის მშპ-ის ყოველწლიური ზრდის პროგნოზი 4.9%-ია. ეს ციფრი კიდევ უფრო გაიზრდება, თუ III კვარტალში ეკონომიკა საქსტატის წინასწარ შეფასებაზე (4.4%) მეტად გაიზრდება.

Perhaps as an early Christmas gift to the international community rooting for a cross-sectoral solution on combatting climate change, HSBC has announced its commitment to establish the world’s first bond. As explained by HSBC themselves, the bond is closely linked to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Following seven selected SDG targets, HSBC will fund 1 billion USD through the bond and thus financially support projects set out to increase the sustainable well-being of communities and the environment.
