For the first quarter of 2026, business confidence in Georgia increased slightly (by 1.7 index points) and reached 9.2. The highest increase in business confidence is observed in the financial (7.3) and agriculture (6.9) sectors.

In 2025, the Government of Georgia (GoG) continued subsidizing non-standard (lower-quality) tangerines, allocating 2.6 million GEL to the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. Local citrus processing companies that purchased non-standard tangerines from farmers for at least 40 tetri per kilogram, received a 35-tetri subsidy from the government.

For the fourth quarter of 2025, business confidence in Georgia increased (by 9.0 index points) and reached 7.5. The highest increase in business confidence is observed in the agriculture (21.1) and construction (18.5) sectors. The positive change in BCI for Q4 2025 was driven by optimistic expectations as well as increased past performance.

The National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat) has published its second quarterly bulletin for 2025. The publication highlights that the real GDP in agriculture, forestry, and fishing decreased by 4.6% compared to the first quarter of 2024. Furthermore, agriculture contributed to 4.5% of the country’s total GDP during the first quarter of 2025.

Over the past decade, Georgia has experienced a notable increase in total exports, rising from approximately 2.86 billion USD in 2014 to over 6.55 billion USD in 2024. This represents a more than twofold increase, reflecting broader growth in the country's export sector.
