On 14 December, ISET Policy Institute’s Salome Gelashvili, Practice Head for agriculture and rural policy, presented the results of their Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) of the Draft Law on Food Loss and Waste.

This annual report provides an analysis of economic trends, as well as denoting the challenges and opportunities (in local, regional, and global contexts) across selected value chains within six sectors to improve evidence-based decision-making through the provision of quality information and analytics.

Water quality has become a global concern in the twenty-first century. Data from the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 6 suggests that only 56% of the world’s domestic wastewater is treated. However, the majority of countries (especially developing nations) do not gather water quality data on a regular basis.

On 23 May ISET Policy Institute, in partnership with Policy and Management Consulting Group (PMCG), presented a summary of the findings of the Value Chain Analytics (VCA) project to the public. The event brought together public and private sector stakeholders along with representatives of international organizations.

Circular economy and integrated waste management are both concepts we often hear when discussing issues of ecological well-being or climate change. This way of imagining the economy has already gained a foothold in many countries. The idea of the circular economy itself implies a different attitude towards patterns of production and consumption, that which aims to minimize wasted resources.
