In addition to its other exchange programs, from last year ISET has actively built up a cooperative relationship with Lausanne University. A group of students and professors from the Business and Economics Faculty at Lausanne University visited ISET early this year and had a chance to take a course in Mechanism Design, taught by Motty Perry, a Senior Academic Advisor at ISET and Professor of Economics at the University of Warwick in the UK.
ISET second-year students continued their series of policy seminars, this time focusing on the Georgian tourism sector. Shako Gobronidze, Diana Nersisyan, Robizon Razamadze, and Revaz Surguladze presented on the topic of seasonality, which both pose various challenges and grants opportunities for the Georgian tourism sector.
On Friday, March 31, Aleksi Aleksishvili, CEO and Chairman of the board of the Policy and Management Consulting Group (PMCG), awarded need-based scholarships to two first-year students – Mariam Tsulukidze and Zaza Barbakadze.
On Monday, March 6 ISET hosted its graduate Robizon Khubulashvili, a Ph.D. Student of Pennsylvania State University. Robizon presented his working paper entitled “Endogenous Team Formation Among Competitors”.
On Wednesday, March 1, ISET hosted an 'Information Session' with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on "What a Career in ADB Entails". Mr. Toshio Oya, the ADB's Director-General of the Budget, Personnel, and Management Systems Department led the session.
