The Residential Sales Price Index (SPI) for Tbilisi increased moderately in April and May of 2021, however it decreased slightly in June and amounted to 114.4 index points (equaling 100 in the base period of January 2019). Compared to the second quarter of 2020, the SPI showed an increase in Q2 2021 – with the largest change of 7.9% (YoY) in June 2021.

In June 2021, Georgian power plants generated 1323 mln. kWh of electricity. This represents a 32% increase in total generation, compared to the previous year (in June 2020, the total generation was 999 mln. kWh). The increase in generation on a yearly basis comes from the increase of 32% in hydropower generation, as well as, from an increase in the generation of wind power by 15%.

For the third quarter of 2021, business confidence in Georgia improved significantly (by 34.7 index points) and reached 36.4. The increase in business confidence is observed in all sectors and is driven by optimistic future expectations and improved past performance in light of economic recovery and relaxed pandemic restrictions.

A minor increase in consumer confidence in June 2021. The trend of increasing CCI continued from March 2021, this time with a slight 0.9 percentage point increase (from -33.2 in May to -32.1 in June) after a significant jump of 5 points from the previous month.

On 15 June 2021, the National Statistics Office of Georgia published its annual publication for the agricultural sector - Agriculture of Georgia 2020. According to the publication, agriculture, forestry, and fishing comprised 8.4% of GDP in 2020, higher than the 7.2% share in 2019, but in line with the general trend over the last five years (agricultural GDP comprising on average 7-8% of GDP).
