On 19 May, ISET Policy Institute, with support and participation from the Swedish Embassy, met representatives from local non-governmental and international organizations, and from the Batumi public and private sector, in order to introduce its activities and key products.
For the second quarter of 2022, business confidence in Georgia decreased (by 2.2 index points) and reached 15.1. The highest decrease in business confidence is observed in construction (-29.7), and wholesale and retail trade (-7.6) sectors. The negative change in BCI for Q2 2022 was driven by significantly worsened past performance.
Geostat has released its rapid estimate of real GDP growth for February 2022. The estimated growth stands at 14.6%, while the average real GDP growth for January-February 2022 reached 16.3%.
