May 2017 | CCI: Doomsday delayed (once again)

In May 2017, the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) sustains its upward trend, increasing by 3.6 points compared to April (moving from -25.6 to -21.9). Its first component, the Present Situation Index, rises by 3.4 points (from -32.8 to -29.4), and its second component, the Expectations Index, goes up by 4.2 points (from -18.5 to -14.3).

ISET alumnus Artak Voskanyan Lost His Life in Car Accident

ISET is deeply saddened to announce that class of 2015 alumnus Artak Voskanyan lost his life in a car accident in his native Armenia on July 4th. The ISET community was devastated to learn of Artak's death. He is remembered as friendly, motivated, and keen to be involved in as many activities as possible. He founded the USA2Yerevan initiative and was an active, enthusiastic member of the university.

On June 15, 2016, ISET held a press conference to discuss recent economic indicators of Georgia. In the second quarter of 2016, the two most important economic barometers of consumer and business sentiment in Georgia – the Business Confidence Index (BCI) and the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) continued to steadily improve.

August 2015 | Respondents Over 35 Bring Consumer Confidence to a New Low

After several months of incremental improvements, Consumer Confidence Index dropped 4.1 points in August 2015, to reach a new historical minimum of -38.4 points. Interestingly, this entire drop was driven by older respondents (aged over 35).
