ISET welcomes Professor Stephan von Cramon-Taubadel as a Visiting Professor at ISET until September 18th. Prof. Cramon-Taubadel is teaching Agricultural Economics I, an elective 3-credit course for second-year students.
One of the most prominent agricultural economists in Europe, Prof. Cramon-Taubadel currently holds the Agricultural Policy Chair at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development at the University of Göttingen, Germany, and serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE).
The course taught by Prof. Cramon-Taubadel is to provide ISET students with an introduction to agricultural and food policy analysis. Students will understand the forces that drive agricultural price levels and incomes in agriculture markets and how they have developed relative to other sectors over time. Additionally, students will learn about agricultural policies and how they differ between countries over time.
During this visit, researchers of the Agricultural Policy Research Center (APRC) have a great chance to get advice from Professor von Cramon-Taubadel on ongoing and potential research activities and numerous professional development opportunities. The second-year students enrolled in Agricultural Economics Concentration will also have an opportunity to consult with Prof. Cramon-Taubadel about their Literature Critiques or Master Theses.
