Between October 4th and 5th, ISET’s Irakli Kochlamazashvili attended the Fifth Panel of the Eastern Partnership on Agriculture and Rural Development, which took place in Yerevan, Armenia.
The Panel is organized regularly and gathers the representatives of governments, academia, and civil society from Eastern Partnership countries to share experiences and discuss the important agricultural and rural development issues.
This year’s meeting was dedicated to agricultural research and innovation, and more than 15 countries’ representatives discussed the impact of digitalization on the agricultural sector. Presentations focused on national e-agriculture strategies, innovations in agriculture, precision-farming tools, best practices of transferring the knowledge to farmers (and challenges facing Eastern Partnership countries), etc.
Irakli Kochlamazashvili talked about agricultural research and innovations in Georgia and introduced some good examples of innovations in Georgian agriculture.
