In November 2022, the average cost of cooking one standard portion of Imeretian Khachapuri continued its upward trend and reached 6.90 GEL. The latest average price is 4.9% higher month-on-month (compared to October 2022) and 27.3% higher year-on-year (compared to November 2021).

Yet, poverty risks have been exacerbated globally in recent years, due to both the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian war on Ukraine.
