ISET has again affirmed its position among think tanks on the world stage by having the ISET Policy Institute listed once more on the Global Go To Think Tank Index. It is a proud moment for the ISET community since ISET Policy Institute is ranked in the 2020 Top Domestic Economic Policy Think-Tanks globally and 2020 Best Independent Think-Tanks globally.
ISET Policy Institute receives 12 600 000 SEK from Sweden for promoting Georgia’s development through independent policy analysis, training, and civil society engagement. The agreement was signed today by Mr. Erik Illes, Head of Development Cooperation of the Embassy of Sweden, and President of Partnership for Economics Education and Research (PEER), Director of ISET Policy Institute Dr. Tamar Sulukhia.
For the fourth consecutive year, the ISET Policy Institute appeared in the Global Go to Think Tank Index produced annually by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) by the Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania.
A decade after its founding, ISET celebrates its entry among the top 10% economic institutions worldwide doing research on CIS countries. In November 2018 IDEAS ranked ISET the 142nd place out of the 1448 economic institutions in its database doing research on CIS countries. IDEAS is an international database that monitors publications in all fields of economics and ranks economic institutions around the world according to the visibility of their research i.e. how many times their online articles are viewed and downloaded.
Between July 17 and 18, Maka Chitanava, the Deputy Head of the EEPRC, attended the 3rd Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Think Tanks Development Forum in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Representatives from university think tanks, governments, and business circles came from every CAREC member country.
