Dr. André de Palma, a distinguished Professor at CY Cergy Paris Université, THEMA, recently presented a seminar at ISET on the “Impact of low emission zones on spatial and economic inequalities using a dynamic transport simulator.” His presentation addressed the critical issue of air pollution – estimated to have caused 311,000 premature deaths in the EU in 2023, with associated costs reaching €224 billion or 1.4% of GDP.

The profit tax system that came into force on January 1, 2017, in Georgia aims to create a favorable business environment, accelerate economic growth, and improve tax administration. This system is based on the distributed profit taxation regime, similar to the one implemented in Estonia.

The draft law on "Water Resources Management" stipulates the establishment of a river basin management system and the introduction of economic instruments for water consumption.

On 16 June 2023, a working meeting was held at the Holiday Inn Hotel organized by the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture and the Remission Center for Sustainable Development. The purpose is to discuss concepts prepared for the Green Climate Fund (GCF) within the building sector in Georgia, specifically for the energy-efficient rehabilitation of public buildings.
