Cost-Benefit Analysis for Government Professionals

In cooperation with the German Economic Team Georgia (GET Georgia) and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, ISET-PI is offering a course in Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) for Government Professionals. The course has been designed for economists in Georgian ministries who evaluate investment projects. Participants will learn how to design and conduct a CBA.

Feasibility Study on Agricultural Insurance in Georgia

Feasibility study identifies schemes appropriate for a support by the German Financial Cooperation for investments in agro-insurance in Georgia. If implemented, the supported agro-insurance scheme(s) shall contribute to reduce the vulnerability of farmers, SME, and intermediaries engaged in agricultural activities in connection with economic damages as a consequence of bad weather events.

Low interest rates drive decline of average rental prices in October - 2014

In October, rental prices for residential properties in Tbilisi declined significantly in annual terms (-7.1%). Buyers tended to purchase cheaper, lower quality units in October relative to the previous month. Lower lending and deposit interest rates made real estate investments more attractive, driving rental prices for residential property downward.
