ISET hosts online discussion with Georgian government & World Bank representatives

Although the operations of many businesses and organizations have been brought to a crashing halt due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, ISET has refused to allow the crisis to hinder its work. Over the last few months, all teaching and academic activity have been shifted online using Zoom, a format that works equally well for operations of ISET Policy Institute and its efforts to serve as a knowledge accumulation and exchange platform in the lock-down.

ISET Hosts Workshop named “Business Case-Based Teaching”

“I very much liked the business case-based teaching method. Business cases will be very useful for vocational college students, as real-life examples are much better in inspiring them to start their own business.” As business cases are based on real-life examples from Georgia, using them in entrepreneurship classes will make them much more amusing for students to attend.”

Past & present agricultural economists meet

On June 22, 2017, the Agricultural Policy Research Center (APRC) of the ISET Policy Institute organized a meeting with former Agricultural Concentration students. As is well-known, the APRC was established at the ISET Policy Institute in July 2014 with a three-year grant from USAID to enhance synergy between policy research, professional training, and teaching activities, capitalizing on the institutional strengths of ISET and ISET-PI.

Resident faculty participated in ISET's Ongoing Professional Development Pedagogical Course. This year’s course followed on from the 2015 program, which consisted of consultations, practical sessions, and feedback on teaching methods, as well as discussions relating to the participants' own professional experiences.
