Role Overview
The Head of External Affairs is responsible for improving the overall visibility of ISET’s academic programs and policy research activities in academic, business, and policy circles.
External Affairs
• Responsible for managing External Affairs Department;
• Responsible for supervision of marketing, PR, and other related activities;
• Manages student recruitment and admissions campaigns in Georgia;
• Manages international students’ recruitment/admission efforts;
• Promotes recognition of ISET programs and ISET-PI products;
• Collaborates with other departments, Academic Program Directors and Management to improve external and internal communications;
• Works with students and alumni to promote ISET;
• Plans and manages graduation ceremonies and major publicity events, including public lectures; ensures media coverage of key events;
• Develops and implements branding guidelines for ISET and ISET-PI;
• Manages the production of publicity materials;
• Manages and expands the range and quality of media partnerships;
• Supports the Director in institutional fundraising efforts;
• Manages ISET and ISET-PI websites, blogs, and social networks.
Alumni Affairs (Optional: candidate dependent):
• Serves as a career center, secures internships for students;
• Connects alumni;
• Manages Ph.D. Support Grant;
• Manages alumni database.
Qualifications (Recommended):
• A university degree in social sciences or communication.
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role;
• Proven expertise in managing marketing campaigns and processes;
• Proven expertise in recruiting and/or outreach and publicity for university-level programs.
Profile:
• Excellent presentation and communication skills;
• multi-tasking, delegation, time management, and project management skills;
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required;
• Proficiency in one or more languages spoken in the Caucasus is desirable.
