On 16 June 2023, a working meeting was held at the Holiday Inn Hotel organized by the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture and the Remission Center for Sustainable Development. The purpose is to discuss concepts prepared for the Green Climate Fund (GCF) within the building sector in Georgia, specifically for the energy-efficient rehabilitation of public buildings.
On May 22nd, the ISET Policy Institute, with the valuable support of the Swedish government, conducted a basic online course on the topic of green economy exclusively for local government officials.
In the framework of mentorship, on May 18th, ISET Policy Institute met with the Georgian Cold Storage and Logistics Association (GCSLA) to discuss the challenges in the cold storage supply chain in Georgia and explore potential solutions to address these issues.
6-10 May, ISET Policy Institute visited Brussels, Belgium. The purpose of the tour was to foster knowledge exchange, establish connections, and learn from leading think tanks in the field of policy research and development. The delegation included Director Tamar Sulukhia, Deputy Director Teona Khaindrava, Lead Economists Salome Gelashvili and Giorgi Papava, Deputy Head of Practice Davit Keshelava, Head of Communications Sopha Gujabidze, and Head of the Business Development Unit Nino Loladze.
On April 24th and 27th, ISET Policy Institute held a two-day free Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) basic course for local government officials. RIA is one of the best mechanisms for evidence-based policy development, and the preparation of it became mandatory for a number of normative acts initiated by the government since 2020.
