Giorgi Mzhavanadze

Giorgi Mzhavanadze is a graduate of ISET. He holds BA in Economics with a module of Macroeconomics from Tbilisi State University. During his BA years, Giorgi was actively involved in youth work. He participated in a number of youth initiatives in the scope of youth economist forums and Georgian Students Olympiad in economics.
As a researcher at ISET-PI Giorgi specializes in macroeconomic research and is responsible for monthly Macroeconomic review, analyzing macroeconomic trends in Georgia, writing blogs on economic topics, and working on different research projects of Policy institute.
His other current positions are Teaching Assistant in Macroeconomics at Tbilisi State University, and Research Assistant in IZA and University of Bologna study “Informal employment in transition: The case of Georgia”. His past career includes an internship at Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission, and an internship at the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Department of Taxation Policy.
