In October 2023, the cost of preparing one standard Imeretian khachapuri increased monthly and reached 6.13 GEL. The latest average price is 4.2% higher month-on-month (compared to September 2023) and 6.8% lower year-on-year (compared to October 2022).

Geostat has released its rapid estimate of real GDP growth for August 2023. The estimated growth stands at 5.8%, while the average real GDP growth for January- August 2023 reached 7%.

Global economic growth is anticipated to decrease from 3.5 percent in 2022 to 3.0 percent in both 2023 and 2024. This increase is mainly explained by a 10.6% rise in the price of cheese during the four-month period (June-September 2023).
